Director of Economic, Community and Cultural Development
Dearbhla Lawson is Director of Economic Community and Cultural Development at Dún Laogháire Rathdown County Council since the end of 2015. Her remit includes responsibility for the Local Enterprise Office and supporting economic development, entrepreneurship and business development in dlr as well as overseeing the Libraries and Community Development within the County. The aim is to ensure that Dún Laogháire Rathdown develops as a smart vibrant county which is attractive, inclusive and accessible.
Dearbhla is also a Director of Dún Laogháire Business Improvement District, and DLR Leisure Services. She is also a member of the Digital Dún Laogháire Steering Group. Prior to this, Dearbhla worked in Cambridge for 12 years where she held a number of key roles including leading on transport and infrastructure, strategic planning and developing Cambridge City Deal plans as well as supporting with delivering the Sustainable Communities plan and growth deals for the East of England.
